Dr. Stodolinska ist von Juli bis Dezember 2022 als Gastforscherin an unserer Hochschule tätig und unterrichtet im Wintersemester das Modul "Intercultural Communication" im Studiengang Sustainable Business and Technology (B.Eng.).

Dr Stodolinska holds the international research sabbatical fellowship at our university from July until December, 2022 and will be researching, as well as teaching the module "Intercultural Communication" in our course of studies Sustainable Business and Technology (B.Eng.).

Short Bio

Dr. Yuliya Stodolinska is an Associate Professor of the English Philology Department at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University in Mykolaiv, Ukraine. At the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld of Trier University of Applied Sciences she is engaged as the first International Researcher in the House of Profs Sabbatical program for internationals. 

Her scientific interests include Intercultural Business Communication, Cognitive Linguistics, Border Studies, Cultural Studies, Discourse Studies. The scope of her research encompasses the cognitive, communicative, and multimodal aspects of various types of discourses in the globalized world. Her PhD dissertation examined the representation of concept children in American Marketing Discourse. In her previous studies, Dr. Yuliya Stodolinska has also explored the portrayal of borders and border crossings in literary, media, and university discourses. Her recent research has focused on the representations of borders in university discourse during the pandemic on the material of American university websites, which in perspective may be expanded to including a social media analysis of the university pages in the USA and in Europe as part of the intercultural business communication focus.
