Living on Campus

A total of 359 dormitory places are available on the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld.

Building 9903 was completed in the year 2000 as a low-energy house as a comparison to building 9902 with identical interior dimensions. It offers space for 36 students, the apartments are divided into 8 single apartments, 8 two-WG´s and 3 four_WG´s. All apartments in this dormitory are unfurnished.

Building 9904 was completed in the year 1999 as a low-energy house. The roof of the building was designed as a green roof to reduce leachate. It offers space for 59 students, the apartments are divided into 45 single apartments and 7 double-WG´s. All apartments in this dormitory are unfurnished.

Building 9905 was completed in the year 1997 using conventional construction methods. It offers space for 69 students, the apartments are divided into 31 single apartments, 15 two-WG´s and 2 four-WG´s. The dormitory is partly furnished.

Building 9907 was completed in the year 1997 using conventional construction methods. It offers space for 69 students, the apartments are divided into 33 single apartments, 14 two-WG´s and 2 four-WG´s. The dormitory is partly furnished.

Building 9911 was completed in the year 2004 on time for the beginning of the semester on 1 October 2004. It offers space for 90 students, the apartments are divided into 56 single apartments and 17 double-WG´s. The dormitory is partly furnished.

A total of 140 housing units are available in the Schneider Bau GmbH dormitories.

Of these, 70 units are located in Building 9906 and another 70 in Building 9908.

The accommodations are offered in a variety of apartment types, allowing for different living needs and individual requirements to be met.
