Development of a web application for yield optimization of photovoltaic plants - UCB PVapp

There are more than 1.5 million photovoltaic systems in Germany. Most of these systems are operated by private owners for whom it is not worthwhile for economic reasons to hire a maintenance company to monitor the system regularly. Monitoring systems are also usually too expensive or technically too complex for the "typical" system operator. For this reason, approx. 80 percent of photovoltaic systems in Germany do not generate the yields that would be possible from a technical point of view. Therefore, we present an innovative web application that enables system owners and system operators to monitor the current condition and profitability of their photovoltaic systems and to commission a specialist company to carry out maintenance or repair if problems arise, e.g. too low a yield, malfunctions, damage, etc.. The main focus in the development of the web application is that it should be as easy to use as possible and designed both for use on the PC and for use on mobile devices (smartphones and tablets).
