Digital Innovation Hub – "CAT - Center for Advanced Technology"

The CAT - Center for advanced technology is a demo factory for environmentally friendly production processes and enables companies from the region to test new technologies in detail in the CAT's Co-Workingspace. Training and consulting services are offered at the same time. In addition to topics such as Industry 4.0, human-robot cooperation and applications of artificial intelligence in production, topics such as circular economy and remanufacturing will also be covered. The demo factory makes it possible to jointly develop new solutions that cannot be developed in the daily work and production process.

To support local SMEs in their digital transformations, the following specific activities are offered under the CAT:

  • Conducting general information events on the digitalization of SMEs through new technologies, with the aim of awareness creation among the local SMEs.
  • Trainings/Seminars in new digital technologies and presentation of their applicability to the problems and processes of the participating companies.
  • Workshops to gain hands-on experience with new digital technologies and thus increase the acceptance and understanding of local SMEs for these technologies.
  • Individual consulting services to develop and recommend suitable digital technologies and concepts for individual processes and problems.
  • Execution of feasibility studies for concrete requests for the application of a new digital technology to an existing problem.
