Students of engineering, ecology or environmental sciences can acquire key qualifications in environmentally friendly technologies by studying at Germany's greenest university! Gain new experiences by attending our "Study Program" for one or two semesters.

Participants in the program will live and study on our modern campus with over 2,700 other students. All student apartments are reasonably priced. They come fully equipped and provide high-speed internet access as well as being connected to our university intranet.

The university does not charge a tuition fee for the Study Semester. A general admissions is fee about 250 Euros per semester that also allows free rail travel in the region.

Students will enjoy the benefits of our “buddy” concept, with German students providing individual help in getting orientated and integrated in campus life.

Our proposal, your advantage

  • All modules, lab work and projects can be taken in English,
  • free choice of modules from the program of the respective semester,
  • up to 30 ECTS achievable,
  • Live on-campus in Birkenfeld, Germany
  • The university does not charge tuition fees for the Study Program. All students have to pay a general admission fee of about 250 euros per semester, which also allows free use of local public transport in the region.
  • Students who are not enrolled in an ERASMUS university must also pay an administrative fee of 500 euros per semester.

How to apply?

Applications should be submitted by

  • 15th of July for the winter semester
  •  1st of November for the summer semester
