Course of study
Students can commence this seven semester degree program either in the summer or winter semester. The program includes an eight-week basic professional internship. Regulations for the pre-study internship for students of the department of Environmental Planning and Technology are available at the Registrar's Office and under the following link. Please contact the course representative (email@example.com) about the nature of the internship in advance, as the course representative decides whether or not to recognize an internship as a fulfilled admission requirement. Subject related vocational training courses may be accepted.
The study of environmental and business computer science consists of the three core areas of computer science, environmental science and business studies. The standard duration is seven semesters. Therefore, the students can enter working life at an early stage; but there is also the opportunity for a consecutive master’s degree which can be obtained at the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld.
During the fifth semester, the students can choose between study abroad and a practical semester in a company.
The final exam will be the Bachelor thesis which will be written during the seventh semester.
