Yes, there are various registration forms for this, however registration via QIS is not possible. You can find the forms for registration here "Downloads für Studierende, Vordrucke und Informationen im Fachbereich Umweltplanung/Umwelttechnik", please select the one that is valid for you.

The form pertaining to you must be completed and signed by the supervising examiner. A copy of the form must be submitted to the Examination Office before the start of the practical study phase/practical semester. The original must be kept by you for later recognition. After your practical study phase/practical semester has been recognized by your supervising examiner, the original must be returned to the Examination Office, at which point the recognition is recorded in the QIS student administration system and the ECTS is credited, provided that the required preliminary work has been completed and passed.

The procedure for registering for the practical phase of study is already explained in the previous question. You can find the registration form in our section "Downloads for Students" via the highlight box "Forms and Information in the Department of Environmental Business/Environmental Law".
The regulations for the practical study phase contain all relevant regulations regarding purpose, duration and time, internships and contracts, obligations of internships, students and university, the courses accompanying practical work, the completion and recognition as practical phase or as semester abroad as well as the accompanying internships for practice-oriented theses.

30 ECTS are allocated to the practical study phase, of which 5 ECTS are allocated to the practice-accompanying courses (PBV).
The ECTS points for the practical study phase (25) will be credited in the QIS when the original course sheet for the practical study phase with the recognition by your supervising examiner has been received by the examination office.

There are different regulations for the practice-accompanying courses (PBV) depending on the course of study and the version of the examination regulations.
In the Bachelor's programme in Business and Environmental Law, the PBVs are a course achievement and are not graded, but are assessed as passed/failed on the basis of a scientific paper. They are not included in the calculation of the overall grade.
In the old examination regulations of the Bachelor's programmes in Environmental and Business Management as well as Sustainable Resource Management (= until the start of the programme in the summer semester 2018), the PBVs are a course achievement and are not graded, but are assessed as passed/failed on the basis of a scientific paper. They are not included in the calculation of the overall grade.

In the new examination regulations for the Bachelor's programmes in Environmental and Business Management as well as Sustainable Resource Management (= starting in the winter semester 2018/2019) as well as Nonprofit and NGO-Management, the PBVs are graded as graded papers based on a scientific paper and are included in the calculation of the overall grade.

The PBVs are always offered in the summer semester, the examination date with the corresponding registration deadlines (three workdays before the date) is always 31.03. Timely registration in QIS is mandatory. Please make sure to register with the correct examiner. The grade (failed, passed or a grade) of the PBV is entered in QIS after it has been completed by the examiners.

Under this link you will find a summary of the PBV process in german language and here in english.

If you have any questions about the regulations that apply to you, please contact the Examination Office. If you have any questions regarding the procedure and organization of the PBV, please contact the UW/UR department or the course officer of the course in which you are enrolled.

In the semester in which you are in the practical study phase / in the practical semester / abroad semester, you are exempt from taking part in examinations. This also applies to repeat examinations. Within the scope of the test count, a 5.0 is entered in the case of repeated attempts because of non-appearance in a compulsory attempt, but this is deleted with the entry of the recognition of the practical study phase / the practical semester / the semester abroad or a withdrawal with recognized reason is recorded by the examination office.

During this semester you are allowed to participate in examinations on a voluntary basis, however, if you fail, the attempt will be counted.

What is a Learning Agreement that I have to agree for a semester abroad at a foreign university?

If you are interested in a semester of study at a foreign university, it would be in your best interest to contact the International Academic Office for advice on the prerequisites, especially pertaining to possible funding programs.

If you want to complete the semester abroad as a practical phase of your curriculum, you will need a supervising examiner. With this examiner you clarify the requirements and regulations for a semester abroad. A "Learning Agreement" is always agreed upon. This contains the examinations which you must successfully complete at the foreign university in order to get the semester abroad recognized as overall with the assigned ECTS credit points.

When will my ECTS points for the practical phase of my studies / the practical semester / the semester abroad be recorded in the QIS?
