Institute for Software Systems

The Institute for Software Systems (ISS) was founded in 2003 as a research institute of the University of Applied Science Trier at the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld. Our research focuses on the development and usage of information technology in a sustainable and resource efficient way. Hence, the ISS is one of the few research institutions nationwide, that deal with questions on sustainable development and environmental protection from the perspective of computer science.
