International Material Flow Management (M.Sc.)

Standard Duration: 4 semesters

Degree: Master of Science (M.Sc.)

Additional Information: Graduates of this program are qualified for positions in higher service and doctoral programs in Germany and abroad.

Degree Structure

Within two years of study (four semesters), the students obtain problem-solving skills with which to manage urban and industrial metabolism processes. In the first year of study, the programme teaches sophisticated concepts of business and environmental management, as well as a sound understanding of innovativee environmental technologies. Creating, financing, implementing and managing new energy and resource efficiency strategies, as well as unique policy models, create the core of the course. Essential soft-skills such as communication, presentation, and intercultural knowledge are taughtin small classes.

In the second year, the students work hands-on with industry and partners in international real-life projects, completing their theoretical knowledge with practical working experience. Therefore, the third semester is designed for the internship and the fourth semester for the completion of the master thesis in the field of material flow management.
