Degree Structure

The four-year dual degree programme in Sustainable Resource Management consists of several phases of study.

During the first year, students participate in vocational training at one of our partner companies or at the Wittlich Training Center (Überbetriebliches Ausbildungszentrum Wittlich). During this time students also study at a vocational training school.

During the pre-university training, students acquire the necessary fundamental qualifications in business administration.

In the second year, students enrol at the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld where the practical training is supplemented with academic courses. During lecture-free periods students work at their training companies where they put theoretical knowledge into practice and take on increasingly complex tasks.

During or at the end of the third year, students also take the final exam of their vocational training course at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK). Following this, students have the opportunity to further develop their skills at their training companies during a project semester and the completion of the Bachelor's thesis.
