Bioprocess and Process Engineering

The Master's degree course Bioprocess and Process Engineering (Master of Science) is aimed at the production industry. Process engineers analyse, design and optimise complex holistic processes. This calls not only for being well-versed in the theoretical aspects of development, but also for careful consideration of the entire process chain, starting from materials to the final storable and marketable product. Here principles of sustainability serve as a guideline, i.e., product manufacturing should be carried out with minimum use of resources and maximum environmental efficiency. This requires being able to calculate environmental impact, compare alternative processes and know about process optimization.
