Declaration on data protection for the event "Graduation Ceremony" of the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld.

1. description and scope of data processing 

In order to process your registration, we collect, process and store the following of your data:

Name, first name, e-mail address, course of study.

After your registration, we collect the data in the content management system of our website and export the data from the website to our local database for further processing.

2. legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for the processing of data after registration for the graduation ceremony by the user is Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO if consent has been given.

3. purpose of data processing

We use your data to organize the event; among other things:

• we may use your contact data (last name, first name, email address) to send event-related materials (e.g. program, links to the platform)
• we may use your address data to send the certificate and some small items for the virtual celebration
• we may pass on your data to organizational units within the university, as far as this is necessary to provide the service.
• In addition, we use some of the data (surname, first name, e-mail address) to send information (event notices, invitations to other events of the university).

4. right to information

You have the right to request information about the data stored about you or your pseudonym. This information can also be provided electronically upon request.

5. Duration of storage

The data will be deleted as soon as their storage is no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected.

6. right of objection and elimination 

You have the right to request the correction, deletion, transfer or blocking of personal data stored about you. If deletion should be legally inadmissible, your data will only be blocked.

You have the right to object to the processing of personal data stored about you or to request the restriction of processing. To do this, send an e-mail from the stored mail address to absolventenfeier(at)umwelt-campus.de. 

7. by entering your data and clicking the send button, you confirm your consent to the storage of the data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO.
