Closing Times of the examination office and the departmental secretariats

Important Information of the examination office and the departmental Secretariats at the UCB

1. Closed on 9th September 2026: The Examination Office will be closed on Wednesday, 9th September 2026 due to a staff event. The opening hours for the UW/UR Department will therefore be cancelled.

2. Closed on 10 September 2026: The Examination Office and both departmental secretariats will be closed on Thursday, 10th September 2026, due to the staff day out for employees of the Birkenfeld Environmental Campus.
Opening hours at both offices will be cancelled on this day. 
If you wish to submit your final thesis on 10th September 2026, please contact the relevant department secretariat in good time beforehand to clarify the details of the submission.

On both days, as staff will be unavailable, no emails will be read or replied to.
Your incoming enquiries will be reviewed and processed from Friday, 11th September 2026.
If your enquiries are subject to deadlines (e.g. requests to register for an examination), please submit them to us by 12 noon on Tuesday 8 September 2026 at the latest. We cannot guarantee that enquiries received after this time will be processed before the closure dates.

Please also note that the Examination Office is always closed on Fridays; the Examination Office does not take receipt of theses—submissions must be made exclusively at the department secretariats
