Seafile - cloud storage

Seafile is an open source cloudstorage software. The ZDV (Data Center) of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz provides this service for all universities in Rhineland-Palatinate.  Members of the Trier University of Applied Sciences can use their user ID to log in via a web portal and configure their own cloud environment. In addition, it is possible to install a seafile client locally.

Seafile is suitable both for personal data storage and for data and information exchange (wiki, discussions) within a group. This is an attractive alternative to Dropbox for university members.
