Studying at the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld

Sustainable. Innovative. Digital. The undergraduate courses at the Umwelt-Campus combine the topics of environment and sustainability, which are examined from a technical, economic or legal perspective. The proximity to practice and companies while at the same time linking up with innovative and research-related topics is a major goal of the training in small groups. State-of-the-art ecological building and plant technology are the hallmarks of the location. The campus is internationally networked, with the power of strong, regional roots.

The Environmental Campus Birkenfeld is a campus of Trier University of Applied Sciences and repeatedly established itself in the world rankings as the greenest campus in Germany in December 2022 (6th place in the GreenMetric Ranking) and remains in the number 1 position nationally for the sixth year.

Students can expect an exciting working environment with a special focus on key competencies, practical training, mutual understanding, innovative learning culture and internationality.
