To be able to participate in student life, you need your student-ID-card. This must be collected in person from the Registrar’s Office (Studierendenservice) upon presentation of your ID card after confirmed enrolment. Without a student-ID-card, you will not be able to create a user ID, which is required to use all online platforms:

Exams

Register for all the exams in which you wish to take part yourself in good time before the deadline for registration (three working days before the exam, 24:00 hours). If you have any problems, please contact the Examination Office before the registration deadline. Subsequent registration is not possible!
Check your data in the QIS regularly and before the end of the registration deadlines to make sure that you are really registered for all examinations!

REGULAR STUDENTS have to apply via QIS !

GUESTSTUDENTS should have a look in QIS if you can register for your exams. (exams-schedule)
If you can: great!
If not... THEN and ONLY WHILE BEING A GUESTSTUDENT you can REGISTRATE FOR EXAMS in this way:
Fill in the "application for registration of examinations" with all subjects you want to attend and have recognized in a transcript afterwards. (The subjects have to be named correct! e.g. take the name of the "Vorlesung/Veranstaltung" in the exams-schedule!)
Send the application via email to the Examination Office (recommendation: till latestly 5th of January in winter term / 5th of July in summer term / but always in minimum three working days before the exam!).

If the registration for examinations is correct, a printout of the transcript of records is possible via QIS after completion of your semester abroad.

If you need a confirmation of stay for e.g. Erasmus you should talk to the International Office or your departemental coordinator (the persons who know your exact arrival and departure dates).
