Kristin Berberich is a researcher at Heidelberg Center for American Studies. She will offer an applied workshop for using unusual and uncharted data types in business research. In her own research, she takes an interdisciplinary approach to analyzing various data types (spoken, written, online data) in order to conceptualize a particular neighborhood and its mentality and versatility, using the example of Brooklyn, New York. Her research has implications for the businesses in the area and how they brand themselves.
