The definition phase of the PERIVAL project is divided into four work packages. The tasks of each work package are as follows:
In work package 1 (WP 1), the project sequence and the planned work steps are explained in a project-internal kick-off in the municipality.
The center of Work Package 2 (WP 2) is Workshop I, which will be held in Project Month 5/6. The main objective of the workshop is to motivate local representatives to the positive effects of the project (climate protection, value added, environmental protection by reducing uncontrolled waste deposits, raw material extraction).
Work package 3 serves to deepen the developed decision-making principles for the construction of a biomass center, invest in a sorting plant in the district and form as well as the process of separate collection. In addition, the feasibility study is developed, which describes in particular the organizational and economic framework and serves as a basis for the municipal decision-makers. The results of the feasibility study will be presented and discussed at Workshop II.
In work package 4, a conclusive content-based part of a transferable concept for the introduction of a waste classification in the city ZQY is developed. It analyzes the necessary municipal framework conditions and prepares a preliminary model for the investment and operation. The model is set up in such a way that, based on the final results of the research and development phase, municipal managers can specify in a phased plan the introduction of waste classification.
