Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW)

Cooperation with the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW)

Since the summer semester 2016 there has been a cooperation project between the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief and the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld.

Students can receive ECTS points (practice-oriented work or advance performance practice-oriented work) for the basic training at THW.

What are the benefits of basic training?

Throughout Germany, 80,000 THW helpers are involved in their free time to provide professional help to people in need. With their great commitment, they assume civic responsibility and make a valuable contribution to society. Being able to help oneself and others, and to be able to help others, is a valuable asset in today's world.

Some also find their hobby for life in THW. In addition to the acquisition of ECTS points (or practice-oriented work in advance), it is also worthwhile for you to complete a THW basic training!

  • the safe handling of the entire THW basic equipment,
