Title: Future Competencies: AI Integration in STEM Education (ZuKI)

Abstract

The “Future Competencies: AI Integration in STEM Education” project aims to bridge the gap between current STEM teaching formats and the competencies demanded by future professional fields. By leveraging AI tools and interdisciplinary pedagogical approaches, we seek to drive transformative advances in higher education.

The initiative fosters an agile learning environment in which digital platforms, AI-supported tutoring systems, and collaborative project work enhance both interdisciplinary skills and students’ AI literacy. Through targeted workshops and ongoing dialogue between instructors and learners, practice-oriented solutions are developed and piloted in modular formats that embed AI into everyday study routines.

Structured work packages ensure systematic implementation and continuous assessment of the pedagogical innovations. Ongoing evaluations and feedback loops with student participants safeguard the quality and efficacy of the teaching methods. This not only amplifies the project’s impact within the current educational landscape but also strengthens its potential for broader transfer.

By adopting an integrative methodology and actively involving students, this project establishes a pioneering model for efficient and innovative university-level instruction. It seeks to proactively identify and address the future requirements of modern work environments.
